Frequently Asked Questions

  • Dreams Tulum

Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa is an all inclusive resort, and will serve as our wedding venue and entertainment hub throughout our stay. To take advantage of our event’s special rates, we highly encourage you to use our code JECOBSWE. To receive our discounted rate, you must book a minimum of 3 nights at Dreams Tulum (the group rates will be available from December 2nd - 10th, and are subject to availability).

Please note, if you book directly through the hotel website without the discount code, you will not receive the discounted rate and will not be able to modify your reservation once confirmed. However, if you spot a cheaper rate on an external booking site, no worries— the resort will price-match it! Just share the details with them, and they’ll honor the lower price.

The deadline to book a room with the discounted rate is November 5, 2025.

    Alternative Accommodation

You're welcome to stay at alternative accommodations if you prefer, but please note that there will be a daytime access fee required to enter the resort on December 8th for the wedding festivities.

    $60 + 16% tax for a full day

Off-property guests are welcome for 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start and will be asked to vacate the premises 30 minutes after the event ends.

  • Please plan to arrive to “The Convention Center” by 3:45pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm. Those arriving later will be asked to join us at cocktail hour. Since most of you will be staying onsite, this should be easy, but if you’re traveling in, please be sure to factor in your travel time.

  • Beach Formal Attire

We’ll be celebrating outdoors all evening, with festivities taking place in the resort’s event spaces (not on the beach). Please dress accordingly in Beach Formal attire. While we know this dress code is a bit unique, think of it as 'formal, festive, and celebration-ready’!

For ladies, long dresses paired with heels or wedges are recommended. Here’s a pinterest page we’ve curated if you need some inspiration! For men, a suit and tie are requested.

No shorts, jeans, sandals, or flip-flops.

  • Unplugged Ceremony

We kindly ask that you unplug and be fully present with us during our ceremony. Please silence and put away phones and cameras; we’ve hired professionals to capture every special moment, and we promise to share the photos with you afterward!

  • Dreams Tulum is a fully all-inclusive resort. Your stay includes all meals, snacks, drinks (including alcoholic beverages), room service, activities, and entertainment. However, tipping is a standard part of the resort experience and is greatly appreciated by the staff.

Please note, a few of the resort’s restaurants require reservations in advance, so be sure to plan ahead if there are specific places you’d like to dine.

  • In addition to your wedding outfits, we recommend packing a few extra outfits that are a step above casual, but not as formal as wedding wear.

Some of the resort's restaurants require a reservation as well as a dress code, such as: sundresses, dressy tops with skirts or pants, collared shirts, or lightweight slacks. (No swimwear or flip-flops.)
